Wow, 5am, an all-nighter. Thanks, Mylo, for keeping me company...and stealing my pens.
This is the only LONG blog post I'll publish. First time for everything.
The Big Sur International Marathon is April 27th. I'm running the second leg of the relay, 4.8 miles. Sound easy? Keep tellin' me that.
I was running on March 31st and decided I was slacking hard on the fundraising for Rachael and would start doing... something. Mid-run I decided I should do something to "KICKSTART" the effort, similar to the Kickstarter website. People want something back. I can handle that.
I talked to my Dad about providing some products from his one-man-shop, www.sunshineproductsusa.com, in Carmel Valley Village.
My team members liked the idea of a Kickstarter.com campaign, but we found out that it can't be used for a charitable fundraiser. So I created my own Kickstarter format over the last 6 hours.
Pull together that beer money, movie money, crack a piggy bank, and make a difference in Rachael's life. Please sponsor me as a relay racer either through my site or through RelayForRachael.com.
I'm excited to post the details of my workouts during the last month of training. I'm not exactly a born runner, but I'm working on it. I'm looking forward to my "rolling terrain" leg of the Big Sur International Marathon:)
Also, NO FOOLIN', I'm going to join Facebook to get this message out to a wider audience. Hopefully my friend Eric can help me navigate that socialverse.
Come back here for daily reports on my training efforts, photos, and maybe even video updates. Join Nikeplus.com and Friend me to see GPS data from my runs.
Thank you to my friends and everyone else for reading and supporting.
We love you Rachael!!
